"An American top dressing pilot falls in love with a young solo mother.
Romance and adventure begin the minute the dashing American pilot, Ray Walker, (JUDGE REINHOLD) lands his crop duster on a sheep ranch in New Zealand.
Hannah (NICOLA MURPHY), her young son, Jonathan (MORGAN PALMER HUBBARD) and his grandfather Bill (BERNARD MOODY) are thrilled to meet him and hope his contract to dust surrounding farmland keeps him there permanently. Bill, a former pilot himself, has just restored a 1950's Tiger Moth biplane and sees Ray as the answer to his prayers: Now someone can teach Jonathan to fly - a long-time dream that seemed impossible due to Bill's failing eyesight.
But the town are suspicious of Ray's appearance in outback New Zealand and wonder what he's running away from. Hannah is already on the receiving end of some malicious accusations and when a mutual affection develops between her and Ray, it prompts jealous reactions from the town school teacher, Gary, (PETER MULLER).
Pressured into sending Jonathan to boarding school and auctioning all their worldly possessions, Hannah ultimately finds the power to change her fortune, but then Ray is invovled in a tragic accident. Only one person can save him - Jonathan - but to do so he must find the courage and strength to overcome his worst nightmare..." www.nzfilm.co.nz; 09/03/2006
